Earth day walk

What better way to celebrate earth day than go on a walk and take a video of it? This video is crazy long, but I'm sure the grandparents don't mind. And can I just say what a rocking awesome videographer I am? I think I counted seeing my finger in front of the camera at least 4 times. Don't worry I will get lots of practice in the next few months, so let's all hope I get better. Happy Earth Day!

Happy New Video Camera Cord to Me!

One of the reasons I haven't posted very many videos lately is because our lovely video camera cord got lost in our move. I finally looked at my paypal account, saw I had enough money to get the cord that was on ebay and purchased it. Isn't that so exciting for everyone? Especially since I'm so good at framing shots and making it look professional. Just kidding on that last part, but I at least get the kids in the shots sometimes, so I guess that's all you want to see. Some cute Jack words recently Bampa- Grandpa Poppi- Popcorn Ba-ba- pacifier Watz dis - Watch this (when he wants to show us something) He likes that ba sound. :) He still doesn't say any animals names besides duck, so we distinguish animals by the sound they make. Avey went to the doctor this week and weighs in at almost 17 lbs! She definitely eats more than Jack did at this age, and is the cutest little pumpkin muffin, but loves waking up at 5 AM to eat. Her mom does not love waking up at this t...

Outpouring of love

Can I just tell you guys that I feel like I am one of the most loved people in the whole wide world? Seriously. Yes, this whole fixing the mess of our renters process is stressful, and not something I would wish on anyone, especially all the way across the country, but it is manageable, especially with such an incredible support system. It makes me want to fly back to Utah right now and give everyone hugs and take you all out to dinner. I found out our amazing friends Christine and Kelly came over with their families Friday night to clean up the yard as best they could- probably in the dark as well. Then when Adam went over in the morning, it wasn't too bad- so when my family showed up an hour later all they had to do was mow the lawn and then they started cleaning inside. Then when our professional cleaners showed up they just had some windows and a bathroom to clean. And Jenn, always coordinating everything some amazing with the keys and letting people in and out, like you ...

What the?!??!

Some of you are aware of our lovely renter situation. For those of you that aren't, let me fill you in, and maybe you or someone you know can help us. Last September we moved to Massachusetts. It was quite sudden with Eric losing his job at the end of July and getting all packed and the house ready to rent and me being pregnant and all it was a little crazy of a time. We decided to go with the renters we did for a few reasons. One, they would pay the higher rent because they wanted a furnished place, and they wanted their animals there. Two- They told us they didn't have good credit because of some hospital bills when they were trying to figure out was wrong with the husband D* (we are keeping names anonymous, just in case). We have people we know with this problem, so it seemed like a valid reason at the time, and they seemed SOOO nice and like they would be honest with us. Third reason- We got a glowing recommendation from their last landlords. (It seems now ...

The Zoo.

We really do work I promise. Our lives really do include earning money and cleaning the house, those are just boring things to post about. (Although my landlords don't think I ever clean, I mean there is food on the floor in the kitchen underneath Jack's high chair when they drop by unannounced. Yes, it's true I do not sweep after every meal, that would make me crazy. Seriously, do you? But that's another post for another day.) With all the free library passes available to us, we love that we have so many free things to always do. So this morning Eric asked if we could go to an aquarium today before he went to work at 1 or 2. Since the closest free aquarium with the library pass was 1.5 hours away we decided to stick with the animal theme and go to the Forest Park Zoo. We reserved the pass online, went and picked it up, played at the zoo and were back at the house in two hours. It was delightful. Here are some highlights. This is a real live cougar. They had s...

Avey + Flowers = Cute

The Park and Happy Easter!

It has been fun seeing Jack growing so much developmentally over the past few weeks. Climbing on EVERYTHING, talking more, becoming aware of falling, are just a few of the things he has been learning. These videos were taken about a month ago, and even since then I have seen him grow more independent and confident. I love seeing all these changes, it's really fun for me. And happy Easter everyone. For Family Night this week we talked about Easter and the Passover. Since we have a not quite 2 year old our lesson was probably a little shorter than yours, but we did act out from the Bible Jesus coming into the city and having the apostles get a donkey and the people shouting Hosanna and waving Palm Branches and putting them on the ground for the Savior to walk over. And that Hosanna means Save Now. Although I don't know if the people were dancing in circles while saying it, Jack pretty much loved it, as you can probably tell from the movie. I as well raise my voice to say ...
