The Stevenson Story

Our friend Dave had to catch a plane back to Utah, so we sadly said goodbye, and then into the city we went. For the record it took us 2 hours to move 2 miles while stuck in traffic. The GPS said it would take 20 minutes to get into the city, and it took 2 1/2 hours. That's how awesome the traffic was. I mean we weren't any big rush, and the kids took good naps, but still- 2 hours for 2 miles! Oh well, the first thing we wanted to do was go 0n a tour of the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, so while driving past it, a car pulled out of a parking spot in the most perfect place we could have parked. I guess our drive was worth it for that perfect parking spot at that moment. Here's my rockstar husband's parallel parking job. I couldn't have done what he did just did, that's for sure! Our good friend Dave had a conference in Newark New Jersey last week, so we decided to head up to the Big Apple to visit for a short weekend trip. (That is one thing I love about living out here, we can just head up for New York for a day or two and come right back. Super cheap and super fun. Seriously, if you only knew how little we spent...) Anywho. So we got there Thursday night and headed straight into Times Square to grab a bite to eat at Juniors. Delicious! Something fun about it is that they give you coleslaw with pickles and pickled beets just for being there. (You know, some places give you chips and salsa, others bread, this one coleslaw and beets.) Very unique. But you know what they say about New York restaurants, anywhere you go is going to have amazing and memorable food because the competition here is FIERCE! And if you aren't amazing you won't last long. On the train in- Jack's fav of course. That's right the empire state building. Yummy chicken...
