Special guest post: Reason #47 why Glenn is the coolest man on earth

Hi all, this is Eric. First off, I don't want this post to distract from Brooke's post below so continue below if you are a regular reader. Lot's of us try to tell our friends and families about special events in interesting and creative ways; but Glenn's seem to ALWAYS drop my jaw. Their son is learning to read and this is the way he shows us. Amazing. Click here If the above doesn't work. And yes, the subtle hint (at least it was subtle to me, might be less so to others) is confirmed...Congrats guys. Check out their blog at maxmomma.blogspot.com

Idaho, 5 Browns, ear ache, tire blowout and laughing

I have been posting so much on my deals blog lately that it's hard to find time to post here too. But here is my usual pack in as much info as I can into one post to update you on the Stevensons. Jack's now eating lots of normal foods, such as spaghetti noodles, it makes every meal time an adventure. A week ago we traveled up to Idaho state and spent a little time with my brother, sister-in-law and little nephew. It was my nephew's and sister-in-law's birthday, and we hadn't seen them since Christmas, so we decided a trip was in store. We traveled with my sisters Amy and Becca, and would have had my little brother Seth there too, but the West Jordan basketball team made it to the state championship- and so being on the Sophomore team he had to stay home and support his Varsity team in that. (They won the state championship by the way, a very good game from what I heard- and WJ was totally not slated to win- go underdogs!) We had such an awesome car ride up, I love m...

Money Saving Class!

Just a reminder, the money saving class I'm teaching is coming up on March 17th at 7PM. It should be super fun, and I'll address lots of topics like where and how to shop, where to find amazing deals, couponing-I'll let you know how cool it is, and how to get your grocery budget cut in half! Let me know if you can't make it and we'll work something out. Happy saving money!

Jack's new toy!

Jessica, from my ward, was trying to find a new home for some of her baby items. I had been looking for an exersaucer on Craigslist because Jack loves to stand up and is content to hang out in any exersaucer for a long time. As you can see Jack LOVES it! It was in her garage, I cleaned it up and it looks good as new. I don't know if my toys will look so good after 4 kids. Thanks again Jessica!

Happy Enrichment!

Tonight I had a delightful time at enrichment. We had a yummy dinner, great company- and then a fun service project. We made hair clips to donate to little girls in Africa, or maybe China I can't remember specifically. Here's the deal though, I am not a crafty person. I know shocker- but it's true, I would make other girls do my crafts at girls camp. My crafts really never turn out. But guess what? Even with my pessimistic attitude, these little hair clip crafts turned out great! I was planning to make one or two to put in my dues, but I ended up making 8, and I am pleased with my work if I do say so myself. Here's a little picture of my end result- thanks Eddie for making this look real for those that don't believe me.
