Ward Christmas Breakfast

We had a great time at our ward christmas breakfast this year.   The kids were thrilled to be in pajamas (they didn't want to change out of them at noon after the party).  And Avey LOVED eating her donuts.  Actually both kids were in heaven to eat so many treats in the morning.  (Don't worry we had some hearty oatmeal and omelets before, so they didn't just have straight sugar for breakfast.)  The hot chocolate was yummy as well!   All of a sudden Jack looked up from eating his donut and I thought he was missing some teeth from the chocolate staining them.    Eating some HUGE candy canes  This one looks like Avey might wack daddy with it.  :)   Santa came and Avey ran right up and sat on his lap and started talking to him, whereas Jack wouldn't go up until the very end and I went and sat with him, and then ducked out on the second picture.  Those pictures will have to come later ...

Avey's birthday

Our cute Avey cakes turned three! She has been talking about having a princess party for her birthday ever since  Jack had his angry bird party last June.  So a princess party it was, and she LOVED it!  The girls started out by decorating their own crowns.  They all came dressed in princess attire.  Avey was planning to wear her Cinderella dress until the morning of the party, then she chose to wear her Tinkerbell one with a Snow White top, and then once her guests arrived she took off the Snow White top.  It was her birthday so I just let her do whatever she thought was fun.  Even be Tinkerbell at her princess party. Eric took the girls on a dragon hunt, and then they had princess snacks on a magic carpet.  Popcorn, apples and cheese.  (Some of Avey's favorite foods.) After their snacks we had free play princess time, then read the Princess and the Pea and put a "pea" (a tennis ball) under pillows and tried to gu...
