The Stevenson Story

My parents gifted me and Eric a night at a Marriott in Layton for our wedding anniversary this year. We decided to hold onto it and use it as a celebration for Eric getting a job. We also used 2 groupons for the weekend. 1 for iFly/Flowrider/ and a Rock climbing place in Ogden, and the other for Rice- an asian cuisine and sushi bar in Salt Lake. Groupon is this online deal site where they have as they say it one ridiculously huge coupon offered a day. If you decide to get it, you purchase it, and then the next day if enough people signed up for it you can then print it off and take it to that place. Our parents had our kids, and so we had such an amazing, fun and rejuvenating Friday night and Saturday to rest and recover from 0ur crazy past two years. :) We got to the hotel Friday night, and since my previous Friday night dinner plans fell through (Red Lobster with coupons and a gift card- I lost the gift card :( We decided to just get a Cafe Rio Pork salad and a Five Guys burg...

We started the day by finding a naughty little leprechaun had turned our milk green. Then we ate some green eggs and pancakes and hash browns. Jack was talking about his green eggs the whole rest of the day. Then we headed downtown to the children's discovery museum free day. Jack loves to wear my sunglasses every time we get in the car. It's hilarious. (Love the new pink carseat for Avey- thanks Jess!) This is us in our happy St. Patrick's day attire. The only unfortunate part of having a free museum day on this particular day was that every other child was dressed in green as well. Avey's only animal sound she makes is quack quack for a duck, but it actually sounds more like a gutteral growl than a happy duck sound. So when she saw this swan, she kept making her quack sound all over the place, as if to say a duck that is my size! And then climbed on the back of the duck. I just realized it has been almost 3 weeks since I last posted. Yikes! What is going on? Oh, I remember, I have been recovering from slow internet, and then our normal picture uploading connector thing for the camera to the computer has been broken and it takes like 5 minutes to upload pictures now, a new random cord connector and some new program that I don't understand and I usually need Eric's help with. Which means everytime I have gotten on the computer to do a post in the last two weeks I have failed. Anyway, since it was on my list of things to do this week to update my blog, here I am taking my time finally writing a post.
