Thanks for Thanksgiving

We had a lovely Thanksgiving this year. We started it with a low key morning. Kristen had the parade on which the kids watched on and off. I ran for 3 miles watching the Biggest Loser- Eric made yummy rolls and I tried to make yams the way normal people like them for Thanksgiving. I just bake them and eat them without butter or anything like a crazy person, so I failed them by peeling them first then cooking them in butter and sugar, but now I know just to bake them with peels on, then peel them and put them in the butter and sugar. I'm sure you all needed to know that and I'm glad my aunt Julie brought good yams that people loved. Then we headed up to my mom's parent's house and had a delicious dinner there. (minus my yams) My cute grandparents and Cindy and Becca. My parents! Our next stop was at my dad's parents house and we had some more pie over there. Halloween 2011

Yay for holidays! Here was our Halloween experience this year. We had a family night on "ghosts " per Jack's request. So we went to a cemetary and talked about bodies being separated from spirits at death. And the resurrection. They liked looking at all the decorated graves. They have a huge canon at this cemetary, so naturally Eric had to help Jack climb up it. *No one was harmed in the making of this picture. Carving Pumpkin Cats and Pirates Avey called it her scaredy cat. And Jack's pirate pumpkin complete with eye patch. Halloween Storytime at the library! We love storytime with this awesome teacher, and had a specially fun day trick or treating around the library after this storytime. Halloween Party! Yummy food! Butterbeer, carrot/cucumber/brocolli pumpkin face, orange caramel popcorn, spider web 7 layer bean dip, pumpkin/cool whip/pudding dip with apples and graham crackers. Indiana Jones visited!
