My good friend Jessica posted about our Chuck E. Cheese adventures this past Saturday. Rather than repost what has already been posted, aka- reinvent the wheel, I will direct you to see more about it on her blog. Awesome sale at Albies this week- read more about it! And you thought this would be a long post! Last up- here are picts from the Utah Symphony concert we went to- called Cho's Anatomy but based on Beethoven's 3rd Symphony- also known as the "Eroica". David Cho,the conductor, took apart the symphony and explained the form, and style of the day- and not only that Beethoven broke many of the rules- but what the rules were in the first place and what it meant to break those rules. He showed how Beethoven used small motif's and built whole movements on them. It was like a Basic Theory 101 class on the Eroica. Those that went said it was really cool to find out the reasons why composers make some parts sound like they do, and how it all fits together...

Isn't it so fun to get all dolled up only for each other? This is us during dinner. Since I usually do marathon long posts, I decided this time I would break it up a little. (And I keep leaving my camera in the car with pictures from the utah symphony last week.) Anywho- Valentines Day was such a blast this year! It started with us going to Chuck E. Cheese with the Hakes and the Peterson's. (Hakes V-day tradition every year) Super fun, Jack loved all the car rides and would hold on to the steering wheels- stand up and say over and over - ooh ooh, or oh oh oh. He probably got some disease from all the times he was eating the steering wheel and I couldn't get to him- but oh well- I guess that's the price you pay to be where a kid can be a kid! I'm thinking that I want to do a new deals blog and leave this as my "journal" blog. Then people that don't care about my personal life but want to read about deals I have been getting can read that, and people that don't care about good deals but want to see Jack they can look there. Here's the finishing touches on Cali- and my awesome birthday! (or birthdayversary) Monday morning (Martin Luther King Day) we took the Sony tour. (Glen not only works there, but got Monday off and watched the 3 boys so Eric, Kristen, and I could go on the tour. You rock Glen!) It was cool to learn about all that goes into making a movie or television show, and tour the places where things were actually made. It's was also fascinating to learn the things they do to trick you into thinking you're in an actual hospital, or hotel- and how it is cheaper/easier sometimes to build a new set, than to shoot in a an existing place. I thought this shot was with me and Kristen, oh well- she has one on her camera with both of us. The cool thing about these buildings? O.k. sometimes I get a little lazy with posting deals. I know this might come as a shock to you guys but I don't post all the fantastic deals I find. Sometimes I don't know if I trust the deal, and I don't want to lead you guys astray. Sometimes I just don't take the time, and sometimes I don't think anyone really cares, (that last one is not to get pity thoughts, it's just I know everyone isn't me, and I don't get or want everything other's post.) Getting back in the grind of not just life, but the cold winter here in Provo, UT. (O.k. so our winter isn't that bad this year- but when you come from solid 70 degree PEFECT weather for a week- it takes a lot of adjusting back. I have never wanted to live in California until this moment.) . Our trip was amazing! We started out visiting our friends Forrest and Kaarina in Nevada. We got in late Thursday night then we went to two chocolate factorys in the morning while our friends went to work (the Ethel M factory and the M&M factory). When they got home we used a restaurant.com gift certificate for all of us to go out to the Pumi restaurant, a chinese/korean/japanese place- and I tried Sushi for the first time. (Completely forgot I was nursing at that point, don't worry I only had one bite- but Jack spit up 8 times that night before he went to bed, probably to rid his system of it.)
