Fall, my favorite time of year.  But I can't say September really had a lot of "fall" weather.  Which reminds me to say since this is my journal of sorts, I think the seasons are shifting.  It gets cooler later in the fall.  August seems to just hang out on the hot summer button, and September doesn't really start cooling down into sweater weather like normal.  (For the past two falls at least!) I have been trying to be present in the moment living life more and not taking as many pictures when we do things so I don't just do things to think of how this will look on our blog.  But I do love that my blog is my journal, and that it has pictures to look at to also help me remember our life better at each stage, so I have been working on finding a balance between the two.  That is the reason for blogging less in general from me lately. This weekend we want camping as a family for the first time in Oregon. It was great. It was a little nerve racking up front because we weren't sure the best places to go, nor did we exactly know if there would even be any spots available for us, but we adventurously wandered out to the woods to fare the wiles of the wild. Luckily, Brooke had a day trip with her friend at a place close to our house (about 30 minutes away and far from the weekend traffic) so it was a good beginner camp site for us to go to. Brittany and all the kids earlier in the week. Jack at the camp ealier this week (who's idea was it to let kids play in the dirt? Jeesh.) I (Eric) had been camping with the kids for daddy daughter and father sons , but this was our first time as a family in Oregon. We had an opportunity to stay at a friend's resort in Bend Oregon for free for two nights right before Eric started his new job.   It was really fun!    We played frisbee and went on walks all around the resort.  We went swimming three times each day.   They had three pools and three hot tubs we could choose from.  Which means my kids and Eric were pretty much in heaven. I read an entire book in part because Eric took them swimming twice without me.  I know this has nothing to do with the picture, but we even watched the Olympics the two nights we were there because we had a real TV in the condo!   We made spinach smoothies.  And other delicious food because the condo had a full kitchenette. Mainly it was great to relax and have so much fun on a free little trip knowing Eric was starting a great job that next Monday!  We'll have to go back again and try out their horseback r...
