Spring Break

This week was spring break for Eric's college. We had a lot of fun! Monday it was POURING rain all day, so after we picked up Eric at work we went to run some errands at the mall. (Rather than Eric going to class) That took longer than we anticipated, and we remembered we had a Cracker Barrel gift card from Amy and Josh for Eric's birthday so we decided to get our dinner there.

It was delicious! I got the sour dough french toast breakfast and Eric got the chicken fried steak dinner. MMMM! They had crayons and something for Jack to color, and a special chair for Avey's carseat. Jack could even eat the cornbread (no milk). We loved it, and Jack stole the hearts of all the workers and diners there. They all knew his name by the end of our feast. Thanks Amy and Josh!

Then on Tuesday the rain completely cleared up and it was a GORGEOUS day. (Actually the weather has been incredible ALL week since then.) After Eric finished teaching we went to Forest Park. It's kind of like the Central Park of Springfield. It's HUGE, and has so many things you can do. We went to feed the ducks again because Jack can't get enough of it. And then we played on one of the playgrounds. It was delightful. And I still can't get over how glorious the weather was.






This last part is TOTALLY random. I was listening to a talk this week by Camille Fronk Olson. Who is one of my favorite speakers that hasn't spoke at Education Week for a few years. On that train of thought I was wondering if there was a way I could go to Education Week this year. So in the midst of me dreaming and hoping for this I got an email from someone about the lineup for Time Out for Women this fall in Hartford Connecticut. It's kind of a like a mini women's conference they do for places outside of Utah. Look at the lineup of who will be speaking:

O.k .there are a few other speakers- but SERIOUSLY! These are my favorite speakers at Education Week, and I don't always get to hear them all there- and they ALL are COMING TO ME!!!! I have to say my Heavenly Father sure does know me and loves to spoil me. :) I really don't know if I can wait. If any of you want to come visit and go to the time out for women with me...

I didn't know they had Cracker Barrel restaurants anywhere else.
Sounds like you guys have been enjoying your time out there and I'm so glad!
And I'm also glad that you will have some great speakers to listen to.
My mom and I are going to women's conference next month and I've never gone to that or education week and so I'm excited. I'll have to look for some of those speakers that you mentioned! (although I already know that I love sheri dew!)

Yay for TOFW...my friend Mary works for them...what an awesome job huh? If we weren't poor and trying to save our money to get out of debt and make it so I don't have to work so much I'd love to save my pennies and come out to visit you guys! I hope you have a great time.

So fun! Time out for women! Say hi to Mary Ellen for me. Remind her about the time she surprised us with a visit in Springfield and hid in the trunk of a car. Hee hee! She has claustrophobia! I think it was a lot more fun for her in theory than it was in reality... Hope you have a good time!

I love TOFW!! They actually came to SLC last year, and are considering coming out here again this year (I haven't heard if they decided to or not). A big group of girls from my ward went, and it was SO wonderful, and so much of what I needed. I love it, and am glad you get to go. Emily Watts is one of my most favorite speakers ever. They were all fantastic, though.

Glad you had a great spring break. I miss those sometimes. :)

Sweeeet line-up! I also love Camille Fronk- she was a professor of mine at BYU. I even tried to set her up with my dad a few years after I graduated. I love seeing the pics- everyone looks wonderful!

So, how come Eric gets a spring break and I don't. You four always amaze me with how you cram so much living into your lives. Well done! Why didn't I think of applying for TOFW. I could have gotten my trip paid for to come see you.

"Hello new world," says Avey.

Well well here we are. A long road of pregnancy, a long way from home, and a VERY short labor everything came out perfectly (pardon the pun). At 12:01 a.m. on December 8, 2009 Avey _____* Stevenson was born. She weighs 9 pounds, 2.2 Ounces and measures 21 cm in length. News Flash!

This is an 11 week ultrasound, and looks close to what my ultrasound looked like, I just can't find where my original went. Oh well, so is the sad life of a second child. Yes! It is true! I am 11 weeks pregnant! I was supposed to be 12 weeks pregnant today, but when my doctor measured the size of the baby it was a week smaller than 12 weeks, even when he did it twice. So rather than my due date being December 1st, it has gotten pushed back to December 8th. I get to be 11 weeks along for two weeks! Awesome! It's really not that bad, and I normally wouldn't wouldn't tell anyone until at least 12 weeks, but the doctor found a heartbeat, and says everything looks healthy and good to go, so I don't want to wait to tell people anymore! (Besides I "technically" waited until I was 12 weeks. :) For those that are dying to know I have definitely felt better than I did with Jack. I haven't taken any medicine to help with the nausea- and that could be ...

Another Grocery Craze!

After going to Albertsons this morning (6:15 AM- don't you worry, long story) and bringing in all the groceries from the car, Eric requested that I take pictures of everything and the receipts. So per request of him, this post is here. Here's all the stuff with Jack in the middle (Well almost all of it, Eric took a bunch of it to work today before I took this picture.) Don't worry, Jack wasn't part of the groceries I bought.
