Clark's birth story

I actually felt pretty good most of the day on Thursday February 11th and helped with the Space Pirates musical rehearsal and made dinner and fed the kids.   After Eric got home late from work, I laid down from the pressure of the baby being so low.    I experienced more lower abdominal cramping after the kids went to sleep (I had experienced the same cramping the night before) but just decided it was fine and I would probably feel these for a few days and it would actually make me excited for labor to start instead of scared of it.   That night Eric had a soccer game after the kids went to sleep and then he had some things to do when he got home and so we finally started talking and getting ready for bed at 10:30.   At 10:45 I had a contraction I had to breathe through while we were talking.   He asked if I was ok, and I told him I was fine, and to get on with our nightly scripture reading because I needed to go to sleep.   A few more b...

We dropped Avey off at Eric's work for her birthday and they had a fun night on the town in downtown Portland. Cheese fries at a popular burger joint. She started refusing to be cameraed by this time. Heading home Avey wanted to stop in the underground train stop and look around. By the end of the night she was down right punchy calling the train a bus and all busses trains and hey, why not pose as the Statue of Liberty without even any prompting?  We love you sweet and silly Avey and are so happy you're in our family!  We made gingerbread nativities this year instead of gingerbread houses, and they turned out really well! This is Jack's stable and Mary and Joseph in the front.  I was able to help with Jack and Avey's school "winter parties" the last day of school.  It was also hat day, so that's why Avey is wearing a bonnet.
