Here is what we have been up to in the past few weeks. Avey has been loving headbands across her forehead.  Jack chose that flower for her that day, saying Avey you should wear the super pretty flower that's pink.  So the super pretty flower she wore.  Jack wanted me to cut eye holes out of his pirate sash, so I did so he could be Raphael from the teenage mutant ninja turtles.  (He learned about TMNT from a lego TMNT bday present he got.)  We made sushi at the Ball's house.  The kids at their table, they loved the fried tofu!  Eric and Tyler getting ready to dig into their plates of sushi.  Yum yum yummy!  Our street is pretty much fantastic and we had a welcome summer bbq in June.  It was hot, but that didn't stop the kids and Eric from busting out some sweet dance moves.  Grilling is also great to do when it's not too hot.  I pretty much avoided the grills except to take this picture.  Some of...

Jack's 5th Birthday

Happy Birthday Jack!!! Last week Jack celebrated his 5th birthday. Boy was it a fun one. On the day of his birthday (the 20th) Jack came downtown to visit me (Eric) at work, we had a daddy-son lunch at my work, went to the science museum, and took the train back home to Mom and the kids. Then on Saturday we had an all out Mario birthday party with his friends packed with cake, coin harvesting, pipe building, an obstacle course. All the anticipation Jack had for his birthday paid off, he had a great time. Lunch with Daddy Crossing the Hawthorn bridge in Portland.
