Jack's birthday

Jack's birthday fell on Father's day this year, and with his Aunt Kristen going home the morning of his birthday we decided to have his birthday party celebration the Friday before. It was really really fun. We made a train cake, and had so many fun people come to celebrate with Jack. He had so much fun, and LOVED his dairy free "cake cake" (Things he really likes he says twice, like like cook cook for cookies, choo choo for trains and crack crack- for crackers- I guess that's kind of funny.) and otter pops instead of ice-cream/ Anyway Kristen and I had so much fun making the cake, and I decided she'll just have to be around for the next birthdays to help, because I don't know how brave I will be making a similar cake by myself. Here are some fun pictures of the special occasion. It looks like Avey has brown hair in this picture, I like her with her red hair baldness. And our cute neighbor Zoe who just turned five and is at the right of Jack was so exc...

Happy Fathers Day

I have the best fathers surrounding me in the whole wide world. My dad. I could not give you the picture of a more supportive and loving father. I remember him always coming to everything I was involved in, from softball games and track meets, to choir concerts and senior recitals. I even remember him leaving work early one day when he was working in Provo, so he would be able to make it to one of my swim meets, and then helping out a lot once he got there with timing races and the such. (Don't worry I have 8 brothers and sisters, so it's not like his life just revolved around me.) That leads me to another quality of my dad. Hard working, and service oriented. He taught all of us especially by example what it means to fulfill callings and be selfless in helping others in need. This past spring, my parents didn't get to plant their garden or work in their yard until very late in the season because every weekend or family home evening they would set for it it it would...

We Love Aunt Kristen

Here are a few things we have been doing with her... We are sad you fly away in less than a day. We'll miss you!

Why I went out to Utah

Besides the amazing deal I got , the big reason I wanted to go to Utah was because my brother Matt was coming home from his mission. And I am not going to lie, it was SOOO great seeing him and talking with him and having him meet my two kiddos. Here are some other random pictures from our trip. (Since I didn't bring my camera my mom sent these to me. Thanks mom!) My cute family also had a birthday party for Jack, since they would miss his real birthday when we went back to Mass. Jack loved the trains and toys and stickers and treats they gave him for the airplane. Our flight back was amazing by the way. Avey slept on both flights, and Jack slept on the second leg, and was so good on the first flight. Having Kristen there helped a lot too. She's great. Here's the snow that came at the end of May. See it's true. And Avey learned how to sit up by herself and drink from a cup on our trip. It was a great trip, and we miss all of you already. Although we are happy t...
