And here's our update!
We went to OMSI one afternoon and then picked up Eric at work and had dinner in downtown Portland.
Cute Ellie!
My awesome friend Mallory went to the Symphony with me. Edward Grieg's Peer Gynt suite- so amazing! The Portland Symphony did a stellar job, I guess it had been awhile since I had heard a professional symphony. I need to make it to more of these events.
Avey put this outfit on and said I'm ready for the beach!
Avey and her friends got their camp chairs out, and put some grass and twigs in a circle, and said they were having a campfire one afternoon.
A few days before St. Patrick's Day we were hosting date night coop in the morning, and went to Home Depot with all them for their kids craft day.
Wow, it was a lot of kids. :) But they loved it.
On the real St. Patrick's day we had Lucky Charms for breakfast.
My new tradition is to have one craft that we do on a holiday. (because at this point i can handle doing one craft a month with my kids.) We made rainbows with marshmallows, and chocolate gold coins, and fruit loops, and Avey made a fruit loop rainbow necklace for her craft.
UTAH! Such a fun rejuvenating trip! I loved seeing all my friends and family and staying up until 12:30 every night, although Eric had to get up every morning to work all day from home, but it was so great!
We left for Utah early on Saturday morning for spring break.
That night we met up with some of our favorite people to celebrate Bryan's birthday at Chili's! So so so fun! Even after getting up at 3:30 AM that morning, totally worth it! And hooray for Steve and Diane having a baby in September! Yay! That has been a long time in coming!
My friend Teresa made these yummy strawberry cupcakes for my dad's birthday. We had a big family party for him on Sunday.
It was fun seeing Eric's sister Wendy at her house! And we met up with Eric's other brother and sister one night after kids went to bed, we just forgot to take a picture.
And I LOVED spending time with my friend Jenn and her family in Provo. And we met up with Clark Goldsberry at their house too. It has been so long, but he is still amazing as ever. That was truly a magical night with all of them.
My cute friend Andrea had remodeled her house like CRAZY since I had seen it a year ago. I LOVED the colors she chose to paint it, and the fun styles. Her home is so delightful to be in. And she is delightful to be with, so great!
This is the back of Andrea and her almost one year old son in the room they had remodeled for her daughter Eden.
This is my cousin Katie who just had twin boys like two weeks before this picture. And she has two other kids under 4. And she's still smiling. Inspiration I tell you. Her boys were SOOO cute!
She even let me hold them. But I can't take a picture of myself at the same time, so here is Amy holding the other twin. Ellie got a little mommy needy after I was holding a twin, and so would force her way onto my lap as well. Silly girl.
We went to the Museum of Natural History in Salt Lake because our OMSI passes get us in for free to almost all the museums in Utah it seems. And they were having a chocolate exhibit. It was fun.
Miraculously family pictures worked out with Eric's family! And we were able to all get together at the same time! Our after lunch activities included riding Kita, Wendy's dog, and playing friend tag, and we had perfect weather. Delightful times 10!
I then went to dinner with my mom and all my sisters!!! We then attended the women's broadcast altogether. When are you all going to fall in love with Portland and move up here with me so we can have these more often?!?
Vacation sock fun for church.
And snow on our drive back, at the end of March. This is why we love Portland so much. No crazy snowstorms in March. :)
This silly girl loves to run away from me at stores now and laugh her head off while doing it. She cracks me up.
We went to the AC Gilbert Children's Museum in Salem at the start of April, we'll have to make it back there before our Science museum memberships expire in June. It was great!
Ellie and her friend Sydney love to take each others toys, but this day they figured out how to take turns on this, and pushed each other back and forth across the street. It was darling.
Ellie also started loving this doll.
Happy rainy Easter Egg hunt at the expo center in Hillsboro.
And free cookie decorating.
And they had a real baby tiger! It was a preservation something something I can't remember, but Ellie really loved it.
The kids made little paint pictures with this spinny thing.
Kids being silly while taking Kristen to the airport. More on the kids Disneyland trip later!
