Avey's birthday


Our cute Avey cakes turned three!

She has been talking about having a princess party for her birthday ever since  Jack had his angry bird party last June.  So a princess party it was, and she LOVED it!

 The girls started out by decorating their own crowns. 

They all came dressed in princess attire.  Avey was planning to wear her Cinderella dress until the morning of the party, then she chose to wear her Tinkerbell one with a Snow White top, and then once her guests arrived she took off the Snow White top.  It was her birthday so I just let her do whatever she thought was fun.  Even be Tinkerbell at her princess party.

Eric took the girls on a dragon hunt, and then they had princess snacks on a magic carpet.  Popcorn, apples and cheese.  (Some of Avey's favorite foods.)

After their snacks we had free play princess time, then read the Princess and the Pea and put a "pea" (a tennis ball) under pillows and tried to guess which one it was under by sitting on it.  Or mainly they lifted up the pillows to figure it out.  It might have been a little too tricky for their age.  :)

 Avey LOVED opening presents, and was so spoiled by all her friends and family!

 I made a princess cake for her.  

 Avey thought the cake was fantastic.

 She had a hard time blowing out the candles though.  We'll work on breath support later I guess.

 Making half cake/half cupcakes was AWESOME!  The girls just chose a cupcake they wanted and ate it right there, but we still had fun decorating the actual cake with the princesses and hearts.  And both the cake and cupcakes were delicious if I do say so myself.

We ended with a dance party.  At first we were going to put on princess music, but then Eric put on Firework and Don't Stop Believing and the girls really got into it.  Part of it was because Eric's such a great dance coach, especially for little girls.

Overall everyone had a great time, especially Avey.  During the day she skyped with both grandmas and opened their presents while they were watching.  She asked for hamburgers for dinner so we picked some up and then had a picnic on the floor while watching Brave to end out the day.

We love our Avey and are so glad she came to our family three years ago!  She brings so much joy, silliness and happiness to our lives we couldn't imagine life without her.   Happy birthday little pumpkin!

I can't believe she is three already!!! What a darling girl! I'll have to add "Don't Stop Believing" to our dance party playlist :)

oh I so wish I could have been there for her big day! We miss you guys so stinking much! I hope to hear the new baby story so soon! I hope you are feeling as well as you can. Love you!

wow! can you belive it! our kids are growing so fast. I miss the seconds that pass by sooo fast. :(

"Hello new world," says Avey.

Well well here we are. A long road of pregnancy, a long way from home, and a VERY short labor everything came out perfectly (pardon the pun). At 12:01 a.m. on December 8, 2009 Avey _____* Stevenson was born. She weighs 9 pounds, 2.2 Ounces and measures 21 cm in length. News Flash!

This is an 11 week ultrasound, and looks close to what my ultrasound looked like, I just can't find where my original went. Oh well, so is the sad life of a second child. Yes! It is true! I am 11 weeks pregnant! I was supposed to be 12 weeks pregnant today, but when my doctor measured the size of the baby it was a week smaller than 12 weeks, even when he did it twice. So rather than my due date being December 1st, it has gotten pushed back to December 8th. I get to be 11 weeks along for two weeks! Awesome! It's really not that bad, and I normally wouldn't wouldn't tell anyone until at least 12 weeks, but the doctor found a heartbeat, and says everything looks healthy and good to go, so I don't want to wait to tell people anymore! (Besides I "technically" waited until I was 12 weeks. :) For those that are dying to know I have definitely felt better than I did with Jack. I haven't taken any medicine to help with the nausea- and that could be ...

Another Grocery Craze!

After going to Albertsons this morning (6:15 AM- don't you worry, long story) and bringing in all the groceries from the car, Eric requested that I take pictures of everything and the receipts. So per request of him, this post is here. Here's all the stuff with Jack in the middle (Well almost all of it, Eric took a bunch of it to work today before I took this picture.) Don't worry, Jack wasn't part of the groceries I bought.
