Jack's birthday

Jack's birthday fell on Father's day this year, and with his Aunt Kristen going home the morning of his birthday we decided to have his birthday party celebration the Friday before.

It was really really fun.

We made a train cake, and had so many fun people come to celebrate with Jack. He had so much fun, and LOVED his dairy free "cake cake" (Things he really likes he says twice, like like cook cook for cookies, choo choo for trains and crack crack- for crackers- I guess that's kind of funny.) and otter pops instead of ice-cream/ Anyway Kristen and I had so much fun making the cake, and I decided she'll just have to be around for the next birthdays to help, because I don't know how brave I will be making a similar cake by myself. Here are some fun pictures of the special occasion.











It looks like Avey has brown hair in this picture, I like her with her red hair baldness.

And our cute neighbor Zoe who just turned five and is at the right of Jack was so excited after we sang happy birthday to Jack she blew out the candle before Jack knew what was going on. It was cute, we re-lit the candle and resang to him so Jack could have his chance. He blew it out on the first blow.






We had so much fun and are so glad for all the support we had. Special thanks to Zach Holland for many of the pictures. We missed all the rest of you that couldn't be there, but one more quick funny story. My mom sent a package with individual presents to Jack for his birthday and we decided to wait and open those presents for him on Sunday. Well, Avey didn't go down for her nap like usual, and when Jack woke up Avey had just fallen asleep. I decided to catch up on a few minutes of sleep rather than get him right away, so Jack had some "free time" to himself in his room. After about 15 minutes I heard some rustling of papers and ripping, so I went in to see what was going on. As I walked in, I saw the wrapping paper from my family's presents all over the room and Jack saying "berfday, elmo" "berfday presents". There was an elmo sticker book and elmo toy they had sent for him. He was so happy and proud of himself, and was like I have this birthday present opening thing down!

Love it! That is one impressive cake! And I just can't believe how old Jack looks--he's growing up so fast. A big 2-year-old! Awwww, cute cute cute.

Do you guys call him "Jack Jack" like I do? Coz that might be where he gets the idea for cake cake, cook cook, etc. Just a thought.

"Hello new world," says Avey.

Well well here we are. A long road of pregnancy, a long way from home, and a VERY short labor everything came out perfectly (pardon the pun). At 12:01 a.m. on December 8, 2009 Avey _____* Stevenson was born. She weighs 9 pounds, 2.2 Ounces and measures 21 cm in length. News Flash!

This is an 11 week ultrasound, and looks close to what my ultrasound looked like, I just can't find where my original went. Oh well, so is the sad life of a second child. Yes! It is true! I am 11 weeks pregnant! I was supposed to be 12 weeks pregnant today, but when my doctor measured the size of the baby it was a week smaller than 12 weeks, even when he did it twice. So rather than my due date being December 1st, it has gotten pushed back to December 8th. I get to be 11 weeks along for two weeks! Awesome! It's really not that bad, and I normally wouldn't wouldn't tell anyone until at least 12 weeks, but the doctor found a heartbeat, and says everything looks healthy and good to go, so I don't want to wait to tell people anymore! (Besides I "technically" waited until I was 12 weeks. :) For those that are dying to know I have definitely felt better than I did with Jack. I haven't taken any medicine to help with the nausea- and that could be ...

Another Grocery Craze!

After going to Albertsons this morning (6:15 AM- don't you worry, long story) and bringing in all the groceries from the car, Eric requested that I take pictures of everything and the receipts. So per request of him, this post is here. Here's all the stuff with Jack in the middle (Well almost all of it, Eric took a bunch of it to work today before I took this picture.) Don't worry, Jack wasn't part of the groceries I bought.
