Last Thursday we had the opportunity to go to the Big E. Now when people started telling me about the Big E I had no idea what they were talking about, they just told me I had to go. I finally figured out it was a huge fair where all the New England states participated, and was actually one of the top 100 events to go to in all of America. Our friend Mary Chelli had gotten a free ticket through donating her blood, and offered it to us as she wasn't going to be able to make it this year. Eric then donated his blood, so we got another free ticket- and we got into the Big E for free! (Jack was free.) There was so much to do, we didn't get to see all of it, but at the end of night we watched the Peking Acrobats- (which are INCREDIBLE!) and Jack fell asleep he was so worn out. Here are a few of the things we did.
Jack's favorite purchase- a bumble bee balloon- only $2!
That's cheaper than at any other store here!
AMAZING!!! This doesn't look very cool in the picture, but those chairs are on four beer bottles at the bottom, and his people kept handing him the chairs, which he would climb and then put another chair on top. And yes, that is him doing a hand stand on the very top- it was insanely high. It was actually making me quite nervous. But really they were incredible!
Eric and his monstrous Turkey leg from the Rhode Island building. I didn't really like it, but Eric thought it was delicious.
